Planet Farms was born out of an idea of Luca Travaglini, immediately embraced by the co-founder, co-CEO, and lifelong friend Daniele Benatoff. The project journey begins with a research and development initiative within Luca’s family business Travaglini S.p.A and today can count on the support of industrial and strategic partners which includes large companies and mainly Italian entrepreneurs.

After 4 years of research and development and an investment of several million euros, Planet Farms has constructed, near Milan in Cavenago di Brianza, the largest vertical farm in Europe, one of the largest and most advanced in the world, in terms of technology and automation.

The 10,000 square meter plant has been designed by Studio Dordoni Architects and it will be followed by the creation of at least another five new plants between Italy and Europe.
Planet Farms has the ambition to constitute the new agricultural paradigm, for the benefit of everyone, without compromise.

Planet Farms currently grows a range of ready-to-eat leafy greens, available on the shelf as three ‘Yummixes’ (a spicy, peppery and delicate mix) and two single varieties (rocket and green baby leaf lettuce).
